The Venture Student Workbook and The Bible Timeline Chart for Teens received a nihil obstat and imprimatur from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in March 2022 and February 2022, respectively. The Venture Leader’s Guide has also been submitted for imprimatur and is currently under review.

Great for homeschool

I bought this to do with my older middle schooler for homeschool curriculum. The entire thing is well done. The videos and activities are engaging. The timeline is interesting and helps my son make good connections. The leader guide makes it very simple to dive in. The quality of the books are lovely. It’s great!

Worthwhile "upgrade"!

I teach high school theology, including a year long scripture class for freshmen. I admit I was initially hesitant to purchase Venture. I have been using Mark Hart's T3: The Teen Timeline for 10+ years with my students, and I wasn't sure something new could be equal to that series in content value, humor, and its ability to engage students. I decided to purchase Venture anyway and "give it a try." I am beginning to go through all of the videos and workbook content in preparation for next school year, and I am THRILLED. I'm not sure how, but in about the same episode lengths as the eight T3: The Teen Timeline segments, Mark and the team who created the Venture series have managed to include not only the excellent material from the the previous series, but also engaging personal stories and answers to challenging questions. While the main content presentation does feel a bit rushed after so many years using the other series, I would certainly say the other aspects (interviews, personal stories, etc.) of the Venture program will better help my students connect the content to their lives. I am looking forward to using Venture with my students next school year and to seeing the impact it will have on their engagement with the Bible!

Great program for teens

The teens of our parish have only completed 2 sessions of the program; they are really enjoying it. They are very engaged and are also asking great questions during the wrap up.

The teens have stated they really like the format, the videos, and the different presenters. It's great for students who are different "types" of learners>

The teens have taken out the timeline numerous times to look at it, as well as the maps, to help them orient themselves to the topics and how the books of the Bible are sequenced. In fact, one student took pictures of the timeline on his phone so he would have easy access.

The program has definitely fostered great discussions within small groups as well as the entire group.

NOT just for high-schoolers!

I love the Venture program with Mark Hart (and team). He gives the story basics in a simple, down-to-earth way and brings out the "interesting" that is often missed by people when considering reading the Bible. I believe this program is for ALL ages, at least teen age and above, since many parents (and sadly, grandparents) these days do not have even a basic understanding of the Bible and its message. I would recommend this program be marketed to anyone/everyone who has a thirst for knowledge and understanding of Scripture; especially those who feel it is all too confusing and difficult to sort out and understand, because Mark cuts it down into bite-size pieces for those among us who are still "babies" when it comes to what we know about our faith.
