Rejoice! Art Prints: The Nativity
A reflection on the piece from the artist:
The Nativity
"In this painting, Mary is resting on Joseph and the pile of hay that Joseph has gathered together for them. Mary holds the newborn Jesus, who illuminates her face with joy and love. The scene is juxtaposed with the cool-colored background of night.
When my children were born, my favorite moments were when the hospital room was quiet with no one else around but my wife, our newborn child, and myself. No extended family or nurses, only the three of us, getting to know each other—a new family.
That is the feeling I wanted to convey in this painting. Here we see only the Holy Family. No shepherds, animals, magi, or angels. It’s just Mary, Joseph, and the infant, Jesus.
The scene is a silent and holy night of family love and heavenly peace."

The print called my attention because it is the way I imagined the birth of Jesus, before The Father and The Holy Spirit.
The first focal point, for me, is the blue center representing The Father and The Holy Spirit, then the Theophany of God The Son and the ecstacy and adoration of Baby Jesus by Mary and Joseph.
Congratulations, Mike Moyers!
This is everything the picture shows. Vibrant colors on nice paper. Beautiful painting that even printed was hard to tell far away it was a print. Gave it in an office Christmas swap. It was the popular gift. Why didn’t I buy one for me? *sigh.
It’s got a lot of background but I love the color and how it’s painted on there. The painting is good. I love it. I got it blessed. And it’s just a perfectly simple picture of a glorious God. I love it!!!
