Hands of Grace, Online Course

The Hands of Grace Online Course allows parishes to share the beauty of the sacraments with the deaf and hard of hearing members of their congregations without ever needing to meet in person. 

Each person enrolled in the Online Course receives access to all 21 segments of the Hands of Grace program in a unique online format that combines the fast-paced videos that you love and the engaging Student Workbook content that reaches your candidates on a different level.

The course includes:

• 3, 6-10minute segments (21 total segments) featuring Fr. Séan Loomis presented in American Sign Language with voiceover, graphics, and closed captioning
• Integrated workbook content to supplement and enhance the experience
• Assessment quizzes for each segment to ensure student compliance

Hands of Grace: The Catholic Sacraments in American Sign Language is an innovative program that features video presentations by Father Séan Loomis teaching in ASL, as well as a workbook that is specifically designed with a visual emphasis to provide a better, dynamic learning experience for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Through 7-sessions, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the sacraments and the Catholic Faith as they:

• Learn the story behind the sacraments.
• Discover the Church’s teachings about the sacraments.
• Live out the abundant grace given to us in the sacraments.
