Living in the Rhythm of the Rosary
What is your impression of the Rosary? Does it seem like a prayer only the older women at your parish pray? In this episode, Dr. Sri shares about St. John Paul II’s special devotion to the Rosary, how he lived his life in rhythm with the Rosary and how you can do the same.

Tips for Praying the Rosary
- Buy a Rosary
If you don’t own a rosary, go buy one! You can find many beautiful rosaries available in Catholic goods stores, online stores, and maybe even at your parish!
- Get Your Rosary Blessed
Don’t let this step keep you from praying the rosary, but do make it a goal. When you get an item blessed, it is like having it set apart for its intended purpose.
- Keep Your Rosary Close at Hand
Whether it is in your pocket or in your purse, try to keep your rosary close at hand. The more accessible your rosary is, the more likely you are to pick it up and use it.
- Fill in the Spaces of Your Day
It is great to pray a full rosary at once. However, you may only be able to do a decade here and a decade there. Fill the empty spaces of your day with praying the rosary. Maybe you can pray a decade while waiting in line or waiting for an appointment. You could also pray while you prepare dinner or maybe while you are out for a walk.
- Turn to the Rosary in Times of Trouble
When you are struggling with something or get bad news, turn to the Rosary. Ask for wisdom and ask for the help of Mary and God.
- Pray It Everyday
All of the great saints say this. You may not be able to pray it all at once, that is just fine.
- Don’t Let the Ideal Keep You from Praying the Rosary
Don’t let perfectionism get in the way of you praying the Rosary. Even if you can’t pray it all at once or if you’re distracted, pray the Rosary.
