We need to open ourselves up to the work God wants to do in our hearts and in our souls.

From Danielle

Ready or not, here Lent comes! If you missed my conversation about Lent last year with Father Mark-Mary Ames, you will definitely want to check it out. He has such an encouraging way of talking about our approach to Lent, you will love it.

This week, I share what I am considering doing this year in terms of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving for Lent, in the hopes that you might be encouraged to think along these lines as well.

Lent is not something we can accomplish or win or fail at. The most important thing is to be open to what God wants for you this Lenten season and to pray for the grace to change in the ways he is calling you to change this year. Lent is an invitation to grow closer to God. Let me know what you are taking on this Lenten season. I would love to hear from you!
