It contains all the written materials you need to complete the eight-part study, and is designed to be accompanied by the corresponding presentations from the Oremus DVD series. The workbook includes session outlines, discussion questions, daily readings, and a journal section to record your personal experiences in prayer. This workbook is just one part of the program and is designed to work alongside the videos, which can be watched via DVD or streaming. It includes one group study credit, which can be used to join or lead an online study group.

It was an excellent series and Father Mark is very thorough in his explanations and guidance. I would give the program a 4 for its overall content however the online workbook is virtually worthless which is why I rate it this. There is no ability to edit it, in other words to take notes with it while waiting for the hard copy to arrive, nor is there an ability to print out the material. To some degree I can understand this but on the other hand it seems rather stingy with the material given. Other courses from other organizations I have taken allow you to at a minimum print out the study questions so that you can take notes and discuss with others. It is actually this limitation that has so far made me hesitant to purchase any other online material from Asension. I am interested in the bible study of the year in a bible, but my wife would like to do it with me and we would have to spend a considerable amount more for the set as there is only one workbook and no way to purchase just one workbook separate or print out the workbook online. Father Marks presentation was excellent however and gave much food for thought.
Fr Mark is a great presenter with humor and great story telling. I have gotten a lot out of this study. I have started praying scripture in the early mornings (5:15am) when I started this study in Lent of 2021. It has brought such peace and direction to my day and life, that I am still praying with scripture every morning, a year later. I’m hosting this study at my house this year (2022) to share it with others.
