Meet the Hosts

Jeff Cavins

Jeff Cavins is recognized both nationally and internationally as one of the most effective and engaging speakers in the Church today. Few can communicate their love for Jesus Christ with as much zeal, clarity, and enthusiasm as Jeff Cavins. In addition to his outstanding presentations related to Catholic Bible study, Jeff is available to speak on a variety of other faith-formation topics. Jeff received an MA in Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Over the past several decades, Jeff has dedicated his life to developing The Bible TimelineⓇ: The Story of Salvation, a practical, interactive program that helps people read the “big picture” of God’s plan of salvation in Sacred Scripture and understand its meaning for their lives. Dr. Scott Powell

Dr. Scott Powell is a teacher, theologian and author who has been teaching the Bible and the Catholic faith to audiences of all ages for decades.
 
Currently, he is currently a Director and Professor of Theology at the St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver. Scott and his wife, Annie, founded and direct Camp Wojtyla, a Catholic outdoor adventure program for youth based in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
 
He holds a doctorate in Catholic Studies from Liverpool Hope University in England, and has authored a number of books, articles, and book chapters on topics of theology, the Bible, and ecology, as well as Catholic culture and its relationship to the modern world.
 
With a passion for making complex ideas simple and accessible, Scott has spoken at parishes, universities, and conferences around the world and has worked on Ascension’s Exodus: Called to Freedom and Walking with Christ: A Journey through the Gospel of Luke. Scott and his wife live near Boulder, Colorado with their three children, Lily Avila, Samuel Isaac, and Evelyn Luca.
