It is more like a library, with the different books of theBible covering things as diverse as poetry, history, apocalypses, laws, and letters.
The way to make sense of the Bible is to understand the story that ties all of it together.

Developed by former EWTN host and biblical expert, Jeff Cavins, this system called The Bible Timeline highlights the 14 “narrative”books of the Bible ... in other words, the books that you CAN read from beginning to end, chronologically, that tell the story of salvation.
Further, the Timeline divides that story into 12 periods.Each book of the Bible is identified by its period, so people can easily remember the historical and symbolic context of each book.
