It’s easy for us to get preoccupied with other people’s lives: how they’re doing, what they have, how their lives are different from our own, etc. But what Jesus displays here in John 21 is that we shouldn’t be worried about how he has called other people around us. All we should be focusing on is how to live as a disciple of Christ, and how to respond faithfully to what he has called us to do.
