Saint Story: Venerable Teresita Quevedo (20:51)
Teresita Quevedo was born in 1930 in Madrid, Spain to a fairly wealthy family. She was a popular young woman who played basketball and enjoyed being fashionable. At a young age, she felt the call to be a bride of Christ. She entered the Carmelite Sisters of Charity when she was just seventeen years old. Not long into her time at the convent, Teresita was given the realization through prayer that she would die soon. Shortly after, she developed tuberculosis and died just before her 20th birthday.
Teresita was declared venerable by St. John Paul II in 1983.
