To demonstrate how opportunities for evangelization naturally present themselves in the midst of normal life, he shares a moving story from his most recent motorcycle trip through the mountains of Montana.

Shownotes
- Stop making this so complicated! It's super natural!
- Archbishop Vigneron of Detroit in “Unleash the Gospel”
- When you encounter people day to day are looking for a friend or a good word, not heavy evangelization. Treat talking about God the same as any other topic you are excited to talk about.
Kinds of simple evangelization
- Acts of kindness- If you do something nice for someone, it can be a good opportunity to share your faith.
- Prayer- This can be really hard for many people but it’s a good way to put yourself out there.
Book/ Pamphlet
- Have something with you ready to go, a kind of “field kit.”
- Card with local parish name and number on it.
- Be safe but maybe give out your information if it is possible.
- You can also leave them around for people to find.
Person-to-Person Engagement
-
Opening statements for starting discussions
- What's the biggest obstacle you're facing in your life right now?
- As you look forward is there anything that you are really worried about in the near future?
- If you had the power, what's the one thing you would change in your country?
- What's the one thing in your past that you regret?
