Questions
Receiving Communion
Can you discuss the Church’s teaching that we should not receive Holy Communion in a state of sin? Does this mean that we should not receive the Body of Christ if we have not gone to confession beforehand?

Calling Priests "Father"
HELLO FR. JOSH!
Thank you SO much for your podcast. It has been such a light to me as I have dived deeper into my Catholic faith and answered many of my burning questions. One I haven't heard yet is why do we call priests "father"? I recently read Matthew 23:9 which says “Call no one on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven.” Could you elaborate on this please.
Thanks again for all you do and God bless!

Being Present to Others
Hi Fr. Josh
Recently my 7 year old child told me I am on my phone too much. After some reflection I realized I am frequently on my phone scrolling, and I'm struggling to be fully present to my kids. What advice do you have for breaking attachment to the smart phone?
