Over the past couple of months, I have been struggling with lustful thoughts and lots of sexual temptations but had endured in order to strive for holiness. More temptations have come my way and I am almost falling. How can I rekindle my fire for the Lord and endure the temptations? -Charles

I’ve been wanting to get started in reading sacred scripture (the Bible) but I don’t know how to. What book do you recommend to start with? And what strategy will you recommend I take in reading and experiencing Jesus in the Scripture? -Nini

Lying (26:33)

First of all, I love your podcast, and there's a million questions I would like to see answered on it. For now, though, I'll stick to one. :) Is it ever okay to lie? The classic example would be if during WWII you were hiding a Jew and the Secret Service knocks on your door. In the event that an evasive answer wasn't possible, and a "yes" or "no" was required, would it be okay to lie and say "no"? -Elizabeth

1. Lust - We need to be disciplined in avoiding the near occasion of sin. Pray and fast consistently.
2. Reading Scripture - Lectio divina and the Great Adventure Catholic Bible greatly help.
3. Lying - Lying is never OK. Some theologians add the qualifier of: “unless they do not have a right to the truth.”
4. Jehovah’s Witnesses - Invite them in!
