Prayer can give us the proper perspective on whatever it is we are going through in life.
1. Examine yourself
What do you have going on physically or emotionally that could be affecting how you feel? Women are notorious for neglecting to pause and assess how they are feeling and things they need to process.
2. Pray
Do you have time set aside every day for prayer? You need to! Make a commitment and spend time going deeper in your relationship with God. You were made for this!
3. What are you eating?
Take a look at your diet and see how what you eat affects your mood. Sugar can be a tricky thing that causes a cycle of highs and lows. You may need to reduce the amount of sugar you eat or cut it out all together.
4. Look outward
Find meaning in connection with other human beings. Seek ways to give generously to others with praise, encouragement, your time and attention.
5. Be kind to yourself
Pay attention to the ways you tend to talk to yourself and change any negative habits. Look for something you can truly enjoy each day and make time for that, just for you!
6. Get physical
Exercise is a natural mood booster, but sometimes when we are feeling down, we avoid it. You can begin a formal exercise program, or simply look for ways to move more throughout your day.
7. Cancel some stuff
Pretty much every one of us can afford to do fewer things. Cross some things off your calendar and enjoy having some space in your life for downtime with your family.
