Reveal the Gift: Living the Feminine Genius
Reveal the Gift: Living the Feminine Genius
Have you ever wondered if you are doing this whole "womanhood thing" right?
Lisa Cotter sure did. Coming of age in a world that told her women should be like men, she often found herself confused and frustrated with the concept of femininity. That was until she encountered St. John Paul II's writings on the "feminine genius".
In Reveal the Gift: Living the Feminine Genius, Lisa uncovers a transformational vision of a woman's purpose, meaning, and gifts, which might not be exactly what you expect.
Learn from saints and other heroic women how to:
- Live authentic Catholic womanhood
- Embrace life from your unique gifts
- Practically impact your family, church, and world through your "feminine genius"
"In an age where the terms 'woman' and 'femininity' have seemingly become arbitrary, Lisa engages with the wisdom of the Church to find the authentic and beautiful meaning of what it means to be 'woman.' Sharing the examples of some stellar female saints to expound on St. John Paul II's 'feminine genius,' Lisa helps women of all ages know their true dignity and worth and finally delight and rest in being a woman."

"One of the hardest topics to define (and even harder to live out) is our uniquely feminine vocation as women. Our own individual stories are so often wrapped up with wounds from our past. As we know, the result is confusion and hurt, drastically affecting our lives, especially our relationships. Lisa has given us a great gift, reaping immense fruit and insight from several heroic female saints throughout the Church’s life and Lisa's own personal experiences. I am so grateful because this book will help so many!"

Hallow’s Feminine Genius course by Lisa Cotter brought me to the book. I love the chapters’ layout. It makes it easy to read, understand and think about. As a busy mom, I appreciate that I can pick it up read a chapter and then contemplate, discern as I go about my daily tasks. Highly recommend.
I bought this book for my 19 year old daughter. She thoroughly enjoyed the book and has recommended it to others. I have read it as well, and it is perfect for any woman but especially teens and young adults navigating society’s idea of womanhood and the church’s ideas. It is the perfect mix of theology and practicality encouraging women to be the feminine genius God created us to be!
I love this book so much. I am not a huge reader and I read this book in two days. I know you said not to do that in the book, but I read it quickly so that I can order more and give it to my other friends. I hope to re-read it soon. I want to send copies even to my guy friends so they can better understand our gifts and see how they get twisted.
I have been dying to read the writings of Alice von Hildebrand, JPII writings on women, St. Edith Stein, S.O.G Chiara Corbello, etc. There is too much awesomeness for me to read and understand. I often feel too stupid or too confused when I read JPII's works. And who has all the time to read all this other wonderful stuff?
With the attack on the family, maculinity, and femininity, this book wonderfully, clearly, and practically explains what the Church teaches and what the Church does NOT teach. Lisa does a FABULOUS job with the discussion questions at the end of the chapter, integrating the lives of the saints, and showing us how our gifts get twisted. This is the perfect gift for mothers day, a birthday, confirmation, graduation, and any other significant milestone for a precious lady in your life.
This book is a tremendous blessing and is the answer to many prayers and desires of my heart. Lisa, I personally thank you for this wonderfully written contribution you have made.
