A powerful treasury of prayers for members of the lay faithful from the ritual book used by exorcists.

The devil is always in pursuit of the hearts of those striving toward heaven.Prayers Against the Powers of Darkness is a pocket-sized booklet that gives Catholics a series of invocations and litanies that they can use in their struggle against the infernal enemy. It is a powerful treasury of prayers of praise and supplication to almighty God, as well as prayers invoking the intercession of the saints, that can be used by the lay faithful to combat temptations of sin or spiritual attacks by the devil.

This durable prayer book includes:

  • Prayers to God for Protection
  • Invocations to the Holy Trinity
  • Invocations to Our Lord Jesus Christ
  • Invocations to the Blessed Virgin Mary
  • St. Michael the Archangel Prayer
  • Litanies

Prayers Against the Powers of Darkness is the complete text of "Supplications Which May Be Used by the Faithful Privately in Their Struggle Against the Powers of Darkness," which is Appendix II of Exorcisms and Related Supplications, the ritual book used by exorcists. While the official ritual book for exorcism is only distributed to bishops for use by certain priests they assign to serve as exorcists in their diocese, the prayers from this appendix can be prayed privately by all Catholics.

This prayer book will give Catholics a repository of prayers to pray anytime they feel spiritually attacked by the devil and in times of temptation. The prayers will support them in their struggle against evil on the journey toward heaven and bring comfort to anyone who prays them.

Protection in your pocket

Perfect size to take with you when you need a simple prayer for protection, especially when in the "marketplace" of our current culture.

Powerful

My wife and myself both felt power and holiness radiating from this book. That in itself speaks of the Sacred Force behind these prayers and the book itself. Very much appreciated.

Pray for others is very good

To intercede for others is part of our Catholic creed. In the Bible it is very clear that Jesus also makes use of the intercession of others who, in good faith, come to him. In the same way, when the pain of others moves us, when the sorrow of those who are not part of our circle overwhelms us, it is time to intercede, with a pure heart, with an attitude of repentance, with our gaze fixed on divine mercy. To ask that God and his will act in the lives of others, without worrying about whether we benefit or whether our prayer will be recognized. We have all been called intercessors by the action of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, and to ask the Father for others is a loving task of Christians.

I'm a little confused. I bought this book because I wanted to pray for my family members who are consumed in darkness. Not that I don't need to pray them for myself, but wondering if it's ok to pray these prayers for your spouse, children, and grandchildren? I like the book, but would like to make sure it's ok to pray for others, also.

A great little book of quick and easy prayers to pray for when you are needing extra prayers for strength against the powers of darkness
