About God’s Plan in Scripture (GPS)
God's Plan in Scripture (GPS) is the perfect Catholic Bible study for children. Written by Emily Cavins, Lisa Bromschwig, Regina Neville, and Linda Wandrei, this program consists of twenty-four-lessons that guide children through the story of salvation using a color-coded system of biblical periods. Through fun and engaging activities, discussions, and plays, children will experience God as a loving Father who has a great plan for them.
God’s Plan in Scripture (GPS) has received:

Details
Last Summer, while both schools and Religious Education classes were out for the summer, we used this program at home, and scheduled it out to finish it by September by doing at least two lessons a week. It was a wonderful resource for both boys, an eight-year-old and a teenager. It also helped me to simplify and reinforce what I was learning through the Bible in a Year podcast. It was especially good that we also had the Great Adventure Bible for reference with some of the workbook questions, as the actual verses from the bible often weren't in the "Storybook" version.
It has been very helpful for all of us actually, because it reminds you small important details that sometimes we forget as adults. We love the activities and games our children get to do.
I used these books to teach Salvation History to my grandchildren. They are 9 and 11. Understanding the biblical timeline and the covenants are invaluable.
Thank you for this series. I hope you produce more in the future.
God bless!
We keep going back to it evrytime we need to remember what was happening or why is something happening in the readings for daily Mass or the Jesse tree in Advent. For instance, we didnt know all the details about Rahab and Joshua and how she is part of the ancestors of king David, St Joseph, the chaste husband of Mary. The Maccabeas is probably the section we have enjoyed the most. It is the perfect timeline to Jesus. God bless Ascension and Jeff Cavins for this
