The Starter Pack contains everything a leader needs to begin the Altaration study:

  • The 3-DVD Set (five sessions, approximately 20 min. each†) features some of the top Catholic youth presenters in the Church today, including Mark Hart, Jackie Francois Angel, Fr. Mike Schmitz, Chris Stefanick and Fr. Josh Johnson. The program also features music from acclaimed Catholic musicians Ike Ndolo and Emily Wilson.
    † With the exception of Lesson 5, which is a dynamic, 60-minute specially formatted walk through the Mass.

  • The Student Workbook is a key element of the Altaration program and serves to both expand on and reinforce the powerful video presentations. It includes starter stories, group questions, prayers, weekly challenges, vocabulary words, a rich appendix, cycle of readings, and more. Each teen should have a Student Workbook.

  • The Leader’s Guide provides the framework and content a catechist needs to guide teens through the Altaration learning experience. It includes the entire content of the Student Workbook, plus a program overview, planning and scheduling resources, leader’s notes, session overviews and objectives, and much more.

Perfect for Retreat

As OCIA Director, I use these DVDs and workbooks for our adult and children’s Retreats. Excellent explanations of the Mass and Eucharist.

Best explanation of what the Mass is about I've ever seen!!

We ordered this and did it as a study with our High School Youth Group. Amazing!! The format is spot on. Read, watch a short video, journal, discuss. Not only was this very informative, but the presentation and cinematography kept all our teens engaged. That's a big plus for teens who are constantly on their phones. The discussion questions were a great jumping off point. They make you think, and we had several discussions springboard from them. My husband (a cradle Catholic) and I (a convert) both learned so much about the WHY of all the parts of the Mass, and the rich symbolism of even processing into church and genuflecting. It was wonderful to share with our teens, and we have passed on the information learned to help our own children understand and love our Faith. A must watch for all Catholics!
