I love The Great Adventure Catholic Bible!

Greetings everyone from the beautiful state of Florida USA. I purchased the Great Adventure Bible and I love it. I am on social security disability and I saved my money 2 buy it on Walmart.com. I also purchased the Great Adventure Catholic Bible Indexing Tabs. I goofed on Genesis and Exodus and need too repurchase these two tabs. I also wish I had a one year print out on how to read the Bible in a year. I am 59 years young but I didn't know they had published the large print Bible. So I need to save my money and get that version. God blessings and love to everyone!

Enjoying this Bible very much.

I am using this for "Bible in a Year" and I enjoy every day with this Bible. The quality is very good and I feel as though it will last for years without issue. I find the RSV2CE to be very pleasant and seems to flow naturally. The included timeline and color coding greatly help to place events from various books in context with each other. The references and explanations do nicely and don't get in the way when reading the actual text. The one minor change I would make is to add a third ribbon. The "Bible in a Year" program reads from three books a day but there are only two ribbons in the book for marking pages. Considering this is the bible so often chosen by those of us following Fr. Mike's program, I think the cost of a third ribbon would be negligible and would greatly ease the use of this bible during the program.

This is a fantastic bible!!

There are several reasons I really like this bible: the RSV2CE translation is very good and the text is understandable; the textual layout is pleasing to the eye - appropriate white space, and a nice-sized font; and the added content (maps, charts, geneologies, etc.) is very good!! Plus the leather-like version is nicely done.

I'm using it along with the Ascension app's Bible-in-a-Year podcast with Fr. Mike Schmitz. Also very good! I'm only a couple months in right now. I also highly recommend the supplementary materials available, including the Bible Timeline Chart, the Bible in a Year notebook, and especially the Bible in a Year Companion (has 3 volumes). The Companion is wonderful - it contains all the important points made by Fr. Mike Schmitz for each podcast episode of the Bible in a Year!! Extremely helpful.

Today, I also received Ascension's version of the Catechism, and I will be starting the Catechism in a Year podcast as well. Cannot thank Ascension enough for all of these wonderful, truly excellent materials that are integral to the Faith!!!

Grandchildren

Just bought two more of these Bibles for my teenage grandsons. This Bible has so much additional info to add to the learning process. I've used it for Hallow's Bible in a Year.

Blessings in a Book

Thought that I would have to give up reading my regular print Great Adventure bible when my eyes began to get worse. Then I saw your large print version. The print is larger but not as large as some of my other books but still I can now read and enjoy the word of the Lord.
