A free 15-part audio reflection series and Novena for Infertility, Loss, and Grief offer hope, prayer, and Catholic spiritual support for couples and families facing infertility.
[Exton, PA – April 13, 2026] As National Infertility Awareness Week approaches April 19-25, 2026, Ascension is partnering with Springs in the Desert Catholic Infertility Ministry to release two new spiritual resources designed to support couples and families navigating infertility with faith, prayer, and hope. Coming next week in the Ascension app, the collaboration includes a 15-part “Scripture and Saints” reflection series as well as a novena focused on accompanying those who carry the cross of infertility and loss.

These new offerings come at a time when many couples facing infertility feel isolated or pressured to pursue medical and cultural solutions that may conflict with Catholic teaching. Through prayer, reflection, and faithful accompaniment, Ascension and Springs in the Desert aim to offer a deeply pastoral alternative rooted in the Church’s vision of hope, dignity, and trust in God’s plan.
“Scripture & Saints for the Path of Infertility” Reflection Series
The 15-part audio reflection series, created by Springs in the Desert and produced by Ascension, walks listeners through stories of Biblical figures and saints whose lives illuminate the spiritual journey of infertility, suffering, and trust in God.
“Suffering, which is universally experienced by all but particularly and uniquely experienced by those longing for a child, is an invitation from God to trust in him,” says Stacey Huneck, contributor from Springs in the Desert. “God can do the impossible, even when that doesn’t look like what you planned.”
Each 10-minute episode explores a figure from Scripture or Church history—including Sarah and Abraham, Ruth and Naomi, Hannah and Elkanah, St. Joseph, Elizabeth and Zechariah, the Woman with the Hemorrhage, and St. Paul—offering prayer, reflection questions, and pastoral insight for couples seeking God’s presence in this difficult season.
Novena for Couples and Families Facing Infertility
Launching alongside the reflection series is a novena for those experiencing infertility, loss, or grief. The novena invites participants to pray with titles of the Blessed Virgin Mary such as, “Our Lady of Sorrows,” “Queen of Families,” “Cause of Our Joy,” and more.
Each day offers a focused prayer intention and spiritual reflection, helping couples entrust their suffering, marriage, and future to God while seeking peace, healing, and deeper trust in His will.
Together, the novena and reflection series create a holistic prayer experience that supports both individuals and couples as they walk the path of infertility within the life of the Church.
