The Advent of Christ

What if you prepared for Christmas like Christ was actually coming?

Dive into the reality of what happened at Christ's Nativity, and what it means for Catholics today.

For many of us, the Christmas story has become almost too familiar: a virgin giving birth, a child laid in a manger, shepherds greeted by angels.

But what if you were hearing it for the first time, the way first-century Jews did?

Those events would not be taken for granted. They would signal something new: the dawning of the long-awaited Messiah.

This Advent, put yourself in that ancient Jewish world.

In The Advent of Christ, Dr. Edward Sri offers a daily devotional that walks you through Scripture reflections on the infancy narratives, from the First Sunday of Advent through Christmas Day.

Each daily entry helps you uncover the deeper meaning behind familiar events and prepare your heart for the coming of Jesus through:

• A short Scripture passage to anchor your day
• A rich meditation that uncovers the deeper meaning of the Christmas story
• A thought-provoking question to guide your personal reflection
• A closing prayer to draw you into conversation with God

Walk through Advent day by day with renewed wonder.

Let the mystery of the Incarnation shape your prayer, deepen your faith, and ready your heart to welcome Jesus at Christmas.
