When will I receive my Alto?

The October issue is the first issue of Alto and so you can expect your copy in your mailbox by approximately September 25, 2026.

The normal schedule for successive issues will be similar—if you order on, or after, the 2nd day of the month, you can expect Alto to be in your mailbox by around the 25th day of the next calendar month.

Like other monthly periodicals, each edition is printed and mailed ahead of time so it arrives before the month begins. This allows us time to thoughtfully prepare each issue and ensure it's in your hands when it's time to pray.

Can I bundle my Ascension app and Alto subscriptions?

Yes! Paid annual subscribers to the Ascension app get a ~32% discount on an annual subscription to Alto!

All you need to do to redeem this discount is to click "subscribe" at the top of this page and then when it prompts you to log in or create an account, simply sign in using the same email and password you use for your premium Ascension app account. The discount will be automatically applied at checkout!

I have premium access to the Ascension app, but the discount isn't applying?

The discount for bundling your Ascension app and Alto subscriptions applies only to paying annual Ascension app subscribers.

If you've been approved for a free premium Ascension app subscription through a program like our beta testers program, priests & religious lifetime access program, or another scholarship program, the bundle discount for Alto will not apply.

How is Alto different than other prayer periodicals?

Alto is the only periodical that features both the readings for Daily Mass and prayers from the official Liturgy of the Hours.

Further, Alto is the only periodical to feature Fr. Mike Schmitz's Sunday homilies, Kendra Tierney Norton's Liturgical Living essays, and shortened adaptations of Ascension's award winning Bible studies.

Is there a digital-only edition of Alto?

No, there is no digital edition of Alto. However, many of the prayers and features in Alto are available to premium Ascension app subscribers.

Why do I need to create an account?

Creating an account for Alto will allow you to manage your subscription at any time, whether you need to cancel or resubscribe.

This is the same as your Ascension app login—so if you already have an Ascension app account, you can log in with the same username and password and manage all of your Ascension accounts and subscriptions in one place.

How do I manage my Alto subscription?

When you sign up for Alto, you are asked to sign into or create an Ascension app account. This is so that you're able to manage all your Ascension subscriptions in one place.

To manage your Alto subscription, then, visit https://app.ascensionpress.com/profile/subscription and sign in using your Ascension app username and password. From there, follow the steps to manage you subscription, including canceling auto-renewal, or un-canceling your subscription.

What if I don't receive my copy of Alto?

Sometimes the U.S. Postal Service experiences delays and other times copies of Alto do get lost in the mail.

If by the first day of the month you have not received your copy of Alto, please call or email our America-based human support team via phone (+1-800-376-0520) or email (support@ascensionpress.com), so we can send you a free replacement copy.
