The Great Adventure Kids Catholic Bible Chronicles (Ages 8-12)
Introduce young Catholics to the story of salvation using The Bible Timeline® Learning System!
The Great Adventure Kids Catholic Bible Chronicles is designed to help children ages 8-12 understand the greatest story of all time. It features 70 stories carefully chosen to capture the story of salvation history in its entirety from Adam and Eve to Christ and the Apostles.
Written by a gifted children’s storyteller, the Catholic Bible Chronicles makes the stories of Biblical heroes like Abraham, Moses, David, and the Blessed Virgin Mary come alive. Each story features an illustration that helps readers imagine what it would have been like to be present as biblical history unfolded.
This 320-page book reads like a novel and incorporates the 12 color-coded time periods of The Bible Timeline® Learning System throughout to make it easier for children to grasp the chapters of Biblical history.
With a focus on how the stories of God’s family members intersect across time, Catholic Bible Chronicles will allow young people to see for themselves that God has a plan for us all.
This collection of Bible stories will excite young readers about the great adventure God has in store for those who love him.
The same Bible Timeline system used by Fr. Mike Schmitz for his Bible in a Year podcast is infused into this children's book—an instant classic!

Bought this for my 6 year old because she had been begging for a new Bible. Even though this says its for 8 to 12 year olds, she loves hearing the stories in this Bible and loves looking at the pictures. I would highly recommend to any parents looking for a Bible for their elementary age kids!
I Was looking for a Bible for my 6 year old granddaughter and wanted something she could enjoy for a few years. I Was surprised upon receiving it. She’s had other bubbles before but none Was as explanatory Abba easy to understand as this Bible is. She can sit for a little over an hour having me read to her Then she looks to take over Abba tries to reread it herself.
This book is NOT for 8 year olds -- they want more pictures. Maybe good for 12 year olds....
Anyway, just not what I expected for that reason. I have 3rd grade CCD.....this is NOT going to grab their attention, no matter how good the text is.
I have a couple of children's bibles and the Maccabean period is given short shrift; a paragraph at best in the best of them. I bought this bible specifically because it is so difficult to find good stories of the entire OT cannon.
This is a bible written like a children's book, so the language is easy enough for 3rd grader to read. The stories are simple enough to be understood by younger children, and it is a sufficiently quick read for adults who have not made it past the Pentateuch.
Catholic Bible Chronicles would make a wonderful gift as well as being a staple in any young Catholic family's library.
Reading this to my 6- and 8-year-old granddaughters whenever I see them. Book is beautiful. Stories exactly the right length. The 6-year-old ASKS to read the Bible when I see her! 🎉
