Each of the colors on the tabs corresponds to the four colors of the Foundations of Faith approach, the same one used in the Ascension Edition of the Catechism. This approach highlights the four parts of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and helps Catholics place where specific teachings and subjects can be found. Knowing where each topic belongs helps you to understand the “big picture” of the Catholic Faith.
The four parts of the Catechism that correspond to each tab color are:
- What We Believe (Part One: The Profession of Faith): Teal
- How We Worship (Part Two: The Celebration of the Christian Mystery): Red
- How We Live (Part Three: Life in Christ): Green
- How We Pray (Part Four: Christian Prayer) : Purple
While these tabs were designed specifically for use with the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition, they can be applied to any full-size Catechism.

I just ordered the tabs. I wish I knew about them when I bought my Catholic Catechism. It might be nice to include them in the same section that you have the book so they are easy to find. I had a bit of a problem figuring out what to call them. No biggy though. I found these looking around on the website. If they are like the tabs for the Great Adventure Bible, they will be great!
To start, these are great tabs. Unfortunately, I've never known how much patience I would need to install them. I had the notetaking CCC, and the referenced page numbers DID NOT match. I had to hunt down where the tabs went (I became familiar with where they went) and then figure out how to place them. While not easy, I got good at them.
I do recommend these tabs, but know it takes skill and patience. There is probably a patron saint of tabbing books; you'll need some intercessions from them.
Love these tabs! They were easy to peel and apply to my Catechism. I’m looking forward to reading and referencing the Catechism in such an organized way with these tabs. Great idea! (I hope you also have them in Spanish for my Spanish Catechism)
Thank you to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit for giving me the patience to add these to my new Catechism Book! Some of the tabs ripped while removing them from the packaging. Very tedious process adhering these to the pages. Requires a lot of time and patience!
I found these rather confusing to apply, and I'm afraid to try to apply them. Therefore, I consider py purchase as wastfull.
