This book wonderfully opens up the incredible fruit behind the Mass I never knew existed. As a cradle Catholic that came home about 4 years ago, this has been a wonderful way to have more in depth worship in the Mass before, during, and after. Easy to read and comprehend, plenty of Biblical references. Helps when Protestant friends ask "Where is that in the Bible", funny you should ask.
I am an OCIA coordinator for our parish and have been for nearly 15 years. When The Mass was first introduced over 13 years ago I started using it in the introductory portion of my sessions. I felt that a firmer understanding of The Mass was what the participants needed since we were asking them to attend weekly Mass while they discerned this is truly what they want to do. Many have been so thankful for that early background - we switched to the second version when it came out 3 years ago!
