Fr. Ambrose Criste, a Norbertine canon from St. Michael’s Abbey, shares a reflection on Mary as Queen of Martyrs, meditating on her profound union with Christ’s suffering at the foot of the cross. Though untouched by sin and not required to die, Mary chose to embrace a martyrdom of the heart, pierced by sorrow for love of her Son. Fr. Ambrose draws from the wisdom of the saints to show how Mary's suffering offers us a model of redemptive endurance. He invites us to unite our own struggles to Christ’s passion, with Mary at our side.
