New Ascension Book Helps Catholics Combat Meaninglessness through Finding Joy

Living the Blessed Life walks with readers as they embark on the journey of pursuing the abundant Christian life.

Ascension has released Living the Blessed Life: Seven Keys to Trusting God and Embracing Joy, a new book that guides readers toward a deeper awareness of God in their daily lives through their body, mind, and soul.

Written by Melissa Overmyer, Catholic speaker and author of From Worry to Wonder, this book intentionally guides readers through seven easily achievable habits that will increase joy in their everyday lives.

Rooted in Scripture and the wisdom of the saints, Living the Blessed Life offers readers practical guidance to put faith into action. Readers are invited to live out the practical steps found in this book through seven days of prayers and journaling space for each of the seven habits.

“While many seek fulfillment in various ways, Living the Blessed Life reveals a profound truth backed by both scientific findings and sacred tradition: genuine happiness flows from one source—love,” said Overmyer, “It is the perfect blend of practical tools and deep spiritual truth, and a roadmap that points you toward the happiness your heart truly desires.”

Living the Blessed Life is the perfect companion for Overmyer’s popular book From Worry to Wonder and Habits for Holiness by Fr. Mark-Mary Ames, CFR.

“Turn on your TV, surf the web, or read a book; everyone is searching for happiness, and everyone is engaged in some way with a strategy to acquire it. Melissa Overmyer highlights seven ways, or seven portals, if you will, to experience and live the Blessed Life, and discover what the world is searching for, but even better. Melissa’s message is accessible, practical, scriptural, and doable.”
