Share
Do you ever feel like you’re not getting enough out of Mass? Sr. Mary Grace, Sr. Ann Immaculée, and Sr. Marie Veritas unpack the spiritual riches of the Mass and encourage us to have faith in its power even if we struggle to grasp how it’s transforming us. The Sisters conclude by offering us practical tips on how we can appreciate the graces of the Mass more fully.
Snippet from the Show
“Lord, if you can transform the tiniest little host into yourself, then the tiniest little sacrifices or joys that I bring to you will always mean something to you.”
Quotes
- “It would be easier for the world to exist without the sun than without the Holy Mass.” –St. Padre Pio
- “Out of the darkness of my life, so much frustrated, I put before you the one thing to love on earth: the Blessed Sacrament…There you will find romance, glory, honor, fidelity, and the true way of all your loves on earth” –J.R.R. Tolkien)
- “I perform works of mercy in every soul. The greater the sinner, the greater the right he has to My mercy.” –Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, 723
Challenges of the Week
- Frequent the Sacrament of Reconciliation to make a way in your heart for grace to enter.
- Try to get to Mass a few minutes early to slow down your mind and heart before Mass begins.
- Stay in your pew after Mass for a few minutes and allow yourself to be still with God.
- Don’t worry if you experience distractions during Mass; it’s natural. You can offer those distractions to the Lord. If you struggle with many distractions during Mass, make an intentional effort to focus on two parts of the Mass: the Gospel and the Consecration.
- In Mass, we are invited to participate in the offering of the Son to the Father. Come to Mass ready to offer something to the Father. No intention is too insignificant for God. Bring your fears, worries, sorrows, desires, and hopes, knowing that God cares about all the details of your life.
- Wait for a word from God. Ask God to speak to you in a particular way at Mass, and let him surprise you.
