Scripture Verses

Adam & Eve in the Garden (The Fall & Hiding)

Genesis 3:8–10

The Visitation- John the Baptist leaps for joy at Mary's greeting

Luke 1:39–45 (RSV)

In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah, and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.”

Challenges of the Week

  • Ask the Lord for the grace to listen more deeply to his voice, and specifically ask for the grace of gratitude. Bring to the Lord the following question:Who has gone before me in my life, whose "yeses" led me to faith and inspired me to believe and trust in the Lord's goodness and love?
  • Don't be afraid to lean into dialogue and deeper conversation with the Lord. Don't look for answers in shallow ways–AI chat boxes can give you quick answers, but they can never provide the knowledge and wisdom that only comes from a relationship with God.
  • Live in reality and trust that God is using all the circumstances of your life for a greater plan— the good, the bad, and the ugly.
