Gabrielle Earnshaw is a writer, editor, speaker, and independent scholar specializing in the life and work of Henri J.M. Nouwen. She serves as Chief Archivist for the Henri Nouwen Legacy Trust and was appointed as Nouwen's official biographer in 2021.

Gabrielle has edited several collections of Henri Nouwen's writings and is dedicated to preserving and sharing his spiritual legacy with new generations of readers. She lives in Toronto, Canada.

Henri J.M. Nouwen was a Dutch-born Catholic priest, professor, psychologist, and beloved spiritual writer whose work has inspired millions of readers around the world. After teaching at the University of Notre Dame, Yale University, and Harvard University, he left academia to join the L'Arche Daybreak community in Canada, where he served alongside adults with intellectual disabilities.

Known for his honesty, vulnerability, and deep spiritual insight, Henri was the author of thirty-nine books, including The Return of the Prodigal Son, The Wounded Healer, Life of the Beloved, The Inner Voice of Love, and In the Name of Jesus.
