The Great Adventure Catholic Bible Indexing Tabs

We purchased these Bible tabs a couple of weeks ago for our Great Adventure Catholic Journaling Bibles, and they are amazing! My husband and I each have our own Bible, and these tabs make it so much easier to quickly flip back and forth between books, especially while doing the Bible in a Year.

The tabs are sturdy, beautiful, and were so easy to apply. I love being able to quickly find exactly where I need to be without searching through the Bible each time. They have been such a wonderful addition and I highly recommend them!

Love the Bible tabs, complete with all the books of the Bible

I am delighted with this purchase. The tabs are very easy to apply & it makes reading the Bible so much easier. The tabs are fairly sturdy but follow the instructions on how to use them correctly to prolong their usage. .

The only tabs I use on all of my family's bibles. Easy to apply and looks great!

I bought these tabs to attach to another Bible I own. I love the color coded tabs as it makes it so much easier to find each book in the Bible easier! love them and very easy to use!

I don't know why so many are worried about the Judith indexing tab. It's a minor thing as far as I am concerned. You have to take your time putting on the tabs and by all means read and reread the instructions very carefully and you will have success. I put a couple tabs on without making sure I had only one page, but found a cure by cutting around the tab. Success. Love the tabs and have no complaints. You just have to take your time and be careful.

There is nothing in the GAB to pinpoint where these go. Very frustrating.

Like other reviewers, I found the tab instruction confusing and didn't figure it out until Leviticus. I agree that a You Tube tutorial would be very helpful. I wish I knew that ahead of time. That said, the tabs make it much easier to navigate in the bible.

Purchased the Great Adventure Leather like cover large print bible with indexing tabs. Extremely happy with it. I had no problem installing the tabs you just need to take your time and do maybe 10 a day carefully. Makes it so easy to find what your looking for. I love the large print too even though I see fine it just makes it that much easier to read in any light or if tired.

I really don't like to complain but these were an absolute nightmare to get on to the pages I don't know what someone was thinking this is the bad process it I had to take some off it tore the pages of my Bible some are crooked I mean it's nearly impossible to get it on completely right I really suggest that you try to find something else

I admit, after reading through the reviews of these tabs, I was a bit worried that I would have the same complaints and troubles that so many other reviewers were having. I still decided to purchase them because they matched with the colors of my Great Adventure Bible already. I am not disappointed!

Many are saying the instructions need more clarity. I agree. I would not have been able to get such good results by only following the included instructions. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend searching on Youtube for a good tutorial on how to insert these tabs specifically. The most helpful video I found was published by "The Catholic Bard". It helped me avoid all of the complaints that I was seeing in the reviews.

I also worried that some of the tabs would be the wrong color, because I saw some reviewers saying that their tabs for Judith were wrong. I did not have this problem, however I am using the most recently updated version of the Great Adventure Bible.

I appreciate the extra tabs that this set came with, such as tabs for general index, maps, charts, prayers, etc, however I did not use them.

Overall, my Bible looks great and I like that the tabs are the perfect length so that the Bible still fits into its box with the tabs not getting in the way. My best advice is to find a YOUTUBE TUTORIAL and also to have patience and be gentle when applying.

As far as what they are and what they're for, it's not rocket science, they're tabs for organizing your Bible and making quick work of finding your scripture. As far as the execution, there's a little bit to be desired, the tabs are basically stickers, and that's what they do. They stick to everything. The card, the finger, the page, each other, etc. These can use a little fine tuning, but as long as it supports the mission at Ascension Press, I would definitely buy again.

I’m very grateful to have these indexing tabs for my great adventure Bible. They have helped me in my bible study to make it easier to find books however, with that being said, I found they were fllimsier than I thought they would be as they are really just doubled over stickers. Not sure how long they’re gonna last with regular use. I also found when you peeled them off the page that they were made on they were not well scored so some of them ripped a little. Otherwise, the colors and the wording are very bold and helpful. I could just see some improvement on the quality. I would definitely buy these again as they go with the great adventure Bible, but would wish for better quality for the price.

I enjoy having this easy and handy reference

I've placed tabs similar to these in other Bibles without any problems because they (unlike these tabs) had a reinforced, precise, easy to fold edge. These tabs fall short in that they don't have any supportive structure whatsoever to the folding edge, which makes getting them folded properly a chore if not, impossible.

Another thing I would do is ditch the included instructions as far as placement goes and simply let the color coded pages of The Book be your guide, sticking each tab directly over the first color coded page of each Book and on the right hand side, starting with Genesis and so on...don't start with General Index and Old Testament tabs as it will throw off coinciding with the book's color coding.

Adding the tabs is awesome, you don't have to use the Books of the Bible pages to find the page a particular book begins. The tabs help to flip right it.

Tabs were bent in the wrong place when I got them. I had a feeling this was a bad omen. Made application and folding in the right spot nearly impossible. Very nice tabs for my bible but might need to get new ones since some folded wrong and look terrible.

I have used Bible tabs before. These are more complicated than necessary. I also have used tabs that were easier.

This is my first time indexing a bible. I purchased the Great Adventure Bible with the matching tabs.
1. I didn't find the install guide to be helpful. I put the tabs on the first tab of each book because I preferred it visually.
2. Why is there a John 1-3 and not 1 John, 2 John, 3 John like there are for other books? Having John 1-3 leaves 2 tab gaps.
3. Is there a list of where the other tabs should go? It would be helpful to have a list of tabs and page numbers to coordinate. If there is a 3rd revision, having all of the tabs, including ones for charts, articles, tables, etc, printed on the page and spaced accordingly to take the guesswork out of where to put them or needing a guide would be incredibly helpful.

These index tabs, when used with the Great Adventure Timeline Chart, truly helped me understand how and where the different books of the bible fit into Salvation History. It does require some refined dexterity and full attention to apply these delicate tabs onto equally delicate pages of the Bible. Could Ascension possibly considered making a set that is repositionable like those AVERY ultratabs for ease of use? I would love to be able to tab our parish bibles with our CCD students someday.

5 stars! Having these bible tabs is the perfect companion for the Great Adventure Catholic Bible! With this particular Bible, putting on the tabs is so easy. I love that I can see all the books and switch easily for what I need during my Bible study classes. Highly recommend.

I am unsure if anyone else has notice, but the Judith indexing tab is yellow, but the tab in the book is light blue. One of the two of them is incorrect. This greatly bothers me, please fix this for others.

I am hoping the tabs will be worth the work. Very tricky to put on as they weren’t perforated. But the positioning guide was helpful. However I am not sure where the gray tabs go. Anyone know?

Very happy to have my Bible all tabbed out! I did find a few speed bumps along the way, but with patience all is good.
1. Do use the included practice tab on a piece of double-sided release paper if available and the alignment ruler. I placed the bottom edge of the tab at the arrow for the next number. So tab #1’s bottom edge went to tab #2’s arrow. Remember to place the black line of the tab along the edge of the paper to create the tab. If you place it incorrectly, it is possible to gently lift it back off without tearing the page. Slow and steady. Be careful to only lift one page before placing the back down.
2. Start with General Index tab and Old Testament. Your choice to follow it with Genesis for the #3 tab or to align Genesis tab back up to the #1 spot. I was okay with the tabs not matching the exact location of the color box on the page…your choice.
3. There are introductory sections. I tabbed mine at the actual start of the book. For example, I started exactly at the Book of Ezra and not on the introductory section. Once again, your choice.
4. Philemon and Hebrews share a page. I just placed mine in the correct tab order.
