I am through only the first chapter but already i find the insight to be life changing. It offers a new perspective on repetitive sin.

One chapter on each vice with examples and exercises. Relevant Bible references included. The ebook is a reasonable price and reads nicely on Apple Books

Every single person could benefit from reading this book and reading it often. I am only on Ch. 2 (Week 2) and this has been so helpful in my daily life. I keep it in my purse and reference the daily/previous scriptures as the day moves on. this book “came” into my life. Praise God!

I ordered this book so I could better understand the 7 deadly cardinal sins and those sins that branch of them. After I read the introduction, I knew I had purchased a winner. The material provides some history, but also reflects modern times and language. The book is made of quality material as well. You won't be disappointed.

This book has helped me to reflect on sins I didn’t think I had. It gets you closer to God.

Signed up for the Lenten study series at the last minute, after having started two others. THIS is the only one I followed through on daily- it was very powerful, concise, and straight-forward. I went back to confession after a couple of years away. Looking forward to going through the whole study and book carefully and slowly during the next couple of months. What a gift!

I got the Kindle edition of this book. It has been very enlightening and I’m realizing areas of my life that need changing. It is also very comforting, knowing that I can change. I’m also listening to father‘s podcast which is great.

I’ve only just begun delving into The Pocket Guide to Overcoming the Seven Deadly Sins, but I am finding Fr. Josh’s gift for relating it to our current world, very inspiring! His way of sharing grace and mercy for our struggles with these sins, makes me feel seen and gives me hope knowing that I don’t need to be perfect. Jesus is with me in the struggles and I can (and should!) ALWAYS call on Him!🩷✝️

The book is a wonderful companion to the daily video series. Father Josh’s explanations are easy to relate to in our modern world and inspire me to work harder at getting to know God & placing my trust in Him. It is filled with invaluable tools to live a life free from sin.

I love Fr. Josh and his wonderful amazing book. I’m embarrassed to say that until hearing his podcast and reading this book I had no idea that ow as committing these sins of wrath and sloth. I’m sure as we keep going with the lent program I’ll continue to see the other sins I’ve committed as well. This has been an eye opener for sure. Thank you Fr. Josh for your words of comfort that regardless of how I keep falling God will meet me where I’m at and love me always ! As long as I ask Him to help me and to always come close to me when I recognize my sinfulness. 🙏🏼❤️

Only a few chapters in but. from the beginning I could tell it was going to be a good book to have. It is an easy read in the sense that Father Josh doesn't make it complicated. It is interesting as you are reading the sins you think, I'm good on this one. I don't need to work on it but then he breaks it down and you see how there are things you can still work on. Love it! I'm always looking at how to dive deeper in what I need to do to improve on myself.
