Developed by the Latin American Episcopal Council (CELAM) with support and collaboration from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), the Biblia de la Iglesia en América (BIA) is the fruit of a 15-year effort to provide a common biblical text for Spanish-speaking Catholics in America. Translated by a team of scholars directly from the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, this edition presents the New Testament, the inspired account of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
