Dr. Edward Peters is a canon lawyer, author, and educator whose work has helped Catholics better understand the Church's canon law. He has served in a variety of canonical roles for dioceses and ecclesiastical tribunals throughout the United States and was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI as a referendary of the Apostolic Signatura, the Holy See's highest judicial tribunal.

Dr. Peters is the author of numerous books and articles on canon law. He and his wife, Angela, have six children.
