The Messy Family Project

Author

The Messy Family Project is the marriage and family ministry of Mike and Alicia Hernon of Steubenville, Ohio — parents of ten children and grandparents of a growing brood — devoted to empowering moms and dads to embrace their sacred calling. What began in 2015 as a hobby podcast recorded at their kitchen table grew entirely by word of mouth into one of the most popular podcasts for Catholic parents, and in 2018 the Hernons left their jobs to serve families full time. Their message is simple and freeing: family life is messy and unpredictable, but the messiness is the crucible in which God pours his grace.

Through their podcast, coaching, retreats, courses, and free downloadable resources, the Messy Family Project helps couples strengthen their marriages, parent with intentionality, and build a vibrant Catholic culture in the home. They have shared that message with Ascension audiences as featured guests on Dr. Edward Sri’s All Things Catholic podcast.
