Patricia Isaacs

Patti Isaacs’s interest in maps began at age four when she started looking through the
family collection of National Geographic magazines. Loving travel, the humanities, and
science, she studied Art and Geography at the University of Minnesota.

After graduation she worked as a cartographer for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the Minnesota Geological Survey, and the National Geographic Society before launching her own mapmaking business. In addition to Ascension Press, her maps have appeared in publications from McGraw-Hill, Houghton Mifflin, Harvard University Press, Oxford University Press, and many others.

When she’s not making maps or writing, you can find Patti loving the four seasons in her
native Minnesota biking, swimming, paddle boarding, and skiing, or gathering with
friends to cook delicious meals.
