Dr. Brant Pitre is a native of Louisiana, he earned his Ph.D. in New Testament and ancient Judaism from the University of Notre Dame and serves as Distinguished Research Professor of Scripture at the Augustine Institute Graduate School of Theology. He is the author of bestselling books including Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist, The Case for Jesus, and Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary, and he is beloved for showing how the Jewish context of the Bible illuminates the Catholic faith. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have five children.
