EXTON, PA — WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2026 — Ascension is deeply saddened by the passing of Klaus E. Krogh, founder of the Bible design and typesetting firm 2K/DENMARK, and an incredible friend and partner.
Klaus was a rare force. His love of the Bible, imaginative design of typefaces, and extraordinary attention to the detail of biblical layout led him to pursue a life that left a lasting mark across the industry and our work at Ascension.
Over the years, our relationship with Klaus and the team at 2K/DENMARK grew into far more than a business partnership. We felt blessed to experience the energy and conviction Klaus brought to everything he worked on. It was an immense privilege to have shared this work with him.
We had the privilege of working closely with Klaus on some of the most important projects in our history, including the Liturgy of the Hours, Second Edition. Klaus understood that these books were more than functional objects; they were vessels through which people could encounter God more deeply. For that, Klaus cared about every single detail. He knew what was at stake.
We are profoundly grateful for Klaus’s friendship and the contributions he made to Ascension’s mission. His influence will continue in the books and Bibles he helped design, the people here at Ascension he inspired, and the team at 2K/DENMARK he led.
We are praying for his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and the entire team at 2K/DENMARK. May Klaus rest in the peace of Christ.
