10 Ways to Be a More Thankful Person
Share
With Thanksgiving on the way and Advent just around the corner, now is the time to think about thankfulness. We can reflect on the reminder from St. Paul:
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
Build gratitude around you. Practice small acts of love. When we focus on doing small things with great love, we will cultivate an attitude of gratitude all around us.
So how can we do that? How can we work on being more grateful people every day? This week, I’m sharing 10 small ways to be a more thankful person:
- Say it out loud.
- Have a set time.
- Write it down.
- Recognize it’s a choice.
- When you get mad, think of 10 things.
- Send a thank-you text.
- Send a thank-you note.
- Notice when you’re happy.
- Give to others.
- Remember harder times.
How about you? What small practices help you to be more grateful every day?
At the end of today’s show, I share my response to a question from Kelly who is dreading having to balance the demands of multiple family members during the upcoming holiday season. Have feedback or an idea to share? I would love to hear from you!
