It was a blessing to be able to read this wonderful book. A truly wonderful invitation with lots of real and down to earth annecdotes, insightful scripture and great prayer recommendations. Fr. Josh Johnson is very relatable and understands our daily struggles in a fast-paced world. This book is great for readers of any age especially for those who may feel the need to come back to God but just need that little push forward.

When I first heard about the title and author, I was very intrigued! Millennials... at times, very difficult to have a discussion about our Catholic faith. This is an easy and open ended way to do so! Father Josh makes it very easy to understand why the Catholic church stands firm in its doctrines and teachings in spite of today’s social culture. Refreshing! Purchased several copies! Intended as a good conversation starter with my children and family. Recommending this book for my Bible study group .

As an older woman reading this book, I was very impressed by the style, content, message given by Father Josh. He gave personal examples of his own experiences with sin and practical ways that worked for him to overcome temptation. He also related the stories of others struggles.
The prayers, questions at the end of each chapter were a good way to reflect back on the message of the chapter.
It was our book club book for this month and was well received by everyone.

As a young Catholic growing in the faith this book is very relatable and has helped me to see how a persons call to religious life unfolds. Through the many life experiences we may have growing up; our home life, envirement, culture we may at times ask ourselves, “Is there anything more?”. Until we take that leap of faith and trust what God has planned for us is when we can truly say we are blessed. For all Catholics everywhere I highly recommend this book especially for discernment for ones own call. Blessings to all

The book is well written and through Josh’s biography you learn what is important to Millenials. I am not a Millenial myself, but I felt it was important to understand Millennials

I am a Catholic administrator and I have done youth ministry for 15 years and I read this book to see if it would be a good one to recommend to some of my high school students. The book was so engaging that I read it in one day and not only did I recommend it to my students but to my friends as well. No matter what age you are you will definitely be taken back by the vulnerability & authenticity of Fr. Josh's story; grow deeper in your faith; and have a better understanding of having a personal relationship with Jesus and how to live that out in your daily life. I would highly recommend this book to high school students to help them have a better understanding of how to live out their faith & become a better version of themselves!

I really enjoyed this book! Insightful and easy to read. I actually printed out some of Fathers favorite prayers to use in my devotions! Candid, sincere and lovingly, he takes you through many upsets and trials of his life that are so relatable to each one of us on our journeys, or as he would say” our journey to eternity “

I received Broken and Blessed as a Christmas present from my parents, but when I began reading I was so drawn in that I could never quite put it down. As a young member of the Church, the book moved me and pushed me to think and evangelize in foreign ways. It pushed me to walk into situations with confidence of my faith, to never question the Church because it is derived from Jesus himself, and it even taught me how to handle the toughest questions we face as members of the Church. I highly recommend the book to anyone and everyone, no matter their faith. Father Josh is very relatable and easy to connect with, especially in todays generation!

Fr. Johnson keeps it real in this book. Anyone can relate to his story.

Fantastic book. It's so honest and real. So relatable to young adults but equally so for my 60something generation. Everyone should read it and better yet if you are lucky to live close by Holy Rosary go listen to Father Josh in person. AMAZING!

I read “Broken and Blessed -An Invitation to My Generation”, on a plane and loved it. The message is clear and straight forward. I went ahead and purchased two more copies to give away. Also I will pass along my copy to a tutor I know who can spread the word as well. The book is appropriate for all ages, teens and beyond. I am so pleased Fr Josh Johnson took the time to write it for all of us to share. Get this book now.

This book is definitely the kind that you can read over and over again it’s not just inspiring it is also helpful for evangelization, took so many ideas from it and use them with my students. I can highly recommend this book you will not get disappointed.

I purchased this book for my son, but after reading it I realized I needed it. Then I read another book, "Armed and Dangerous" and I would have to say it is even better. We so desperately need to reach out to all who have stopped going to church. I asked my son's girlfriend why she had not read the bible. Her answer, "No reason to read it." Sign of the times. I replied, "Not eternity?" They seem to live in the "here and now" and won't hear of an eternity. She adamantly told me she is Christian as her and her mom attend church once a year. When I asked which church, she replied she could not remember.

This book is great for everyone. Catholics looking for ways to deepen their faith and relationship with God will find this book inspiring. It is also excellent for evangelizing ideas and methods. I have certainly been blessed by this book!

I enjoyed reading Broken and Blessed, related to some of the stories that Fr. Josh wrote about. Very inspiring! May God bless Fr. Josh and continue to send the Holy Spirit to guide him and bring more people closer to God!

This is a wonderful book. It is well written and inspiring. It is definitely one that I will read over and over.

I loved this book so much. It was easy to read and extremely relatable. I love how Father Josh is so real and honest. He gives great suggestions and examples for many achievable solutions for maintaining a deeper prayer life and growing your relationship with Jesus. I highly recommend this to everyone-- not matter where you are in your walk with Christ. I heard about his book through his podcast(which is also awesome!).

I ordered Broken and Blessed as a Christmas gift for my son who is entering Seminary in the fall 2019.
But I have been quietly struggling with the scandal in the church. I also work at a Catholic Church and see MANY things that deeply sadden me. I struggle. Im sad. And many nights I cry . O Lord, my son , a priest. Ugghh. Crying out to God, show me! Only my husband knew of my anguish.
A few days ago my son came to me and told me he was finished with the book and how amazing it was. i just smiled and walked away. He said, "Mom you should read it."
Lo and behold...Fr Josh Johnson was asked by someone "How can you be a priest? With all the scandal etc..."
His response calmed the storm in my heart!
I recommend this book to mothers with sons discerning the priesthood.

I’m in my 60’s, yet could easily relate to his feelings and insight on spirituality. Josh’s clear and understandable passages are easily read. I’m glad that he wrote a book that touches the heart and soul. Looking forward to more books from him!

I am proud to say Father Josh is my Priest. I am a Our Lady of the Holy Rosary parishner. Father Josh's love for the Lord is so infectious. What he has brought to our parish is beyond amazing. This book is just a snippet of him. Read it and then read it again! It will inspire you and your prayer life and journaling. If you have never journaled before it will inspire you too. He gives you the tools. We are blessed to have him every Sunday to remind us of the tools an how to use them to help make our love for the Lord infectious also! If you are wanting a push just order it, read it and see where it takes you! Strive to be the Saint you are intended to be!

The book was very good gave me hope my son might come back to his catholic faith

I enjoyed this book very much! The personal conversion stories of others always seem to have at least one piece that connects to mine or someone I know. Each is individual but still connects us, which to me, reflects our God. For anyone who feels as if the Church is outdated, inapplicable or just not for them, this might be a good book for that person to read! I highly recommend it!

I heard about this book during one of the darkest times of my life. It gave me such hope and a deeply held belief that I was a beloved daughter of the Lord. I needed that so very much and this book started me on a path to develop a level of intimacy with Jesus I had heard about, but never grasped or experienced. It is a very real book that touched someone as broken as me deeply and left me feeling incredibly blessed. I'm now reading it for the third time and have made it a regular part of my prayer life. Father Josh is truly gifted in his ability to remind us of how precious we are, no matter where we have been, and it fills me with such hope on my walk to become the Saint God intends me to be.

I have enjoyed Fr Josh's videos and was looking forward to reading this book- although I wondered if it would be relevant for me (a woman of 54 years!). I loved it and found much to take away of value for me. I also gave it to my 14 year old son to read- who may be younger than the target demographic but he also really loved it. Fr Josh is an incredibly inspiring person- and also very real and relatable. I would recommend this book to anyone who is trying to understand their faith, looking for ways to grow in faith or who is looking for an enjoyable and inspiring book to read.

Very good book and an easy read. I continue review and read some of the prays as part of my own devotions.

I loved that Father Josh writes about his own brokenness. We are all trying to keep it together and he remi d me that WE ALL have struggles.
I love his podcast and talk about his lessons frequently to my young adult children.
He is definitely one of my top favorites to listen too.

I listen to Fr Josh’s podcast and love his approach to topics. This book is targeted to millenials in such a way as to help them relate to God in their time and lives. Fr Josh is so humble in his teaching, you can’t help but be drawn into what he is teaching. Everyone with young adults/children should buy this book for them.
