The Real Presence
The Real Presence
Show children how God is present in the Eucharist!
Zedekiah and Abigail, two young cousins living in Capernaum at the time of Jesus, argue about everything. They want Jesus to judge which of their families’ crops is better—grain or grapes? But when they find themselves in the Upper Room at the Last Supper with gifts of their harvests for Jesus, they discover something more important than their presents.

This is a creative way of helping children imagine themselves as children in Jesus’ time in Jerusalem. The beautiful pictures and words will help children understand Jesus and what he did in the Eucharist.
I love this book! It’s an interesting, fun story, and a great way to teach children about the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
I bought this book in hopes that it would help make Jesus’ real presence in the Eucharist more understandable to my 3 and 5 year old children. I honestly was disappointed. I don’t feel that this book helped in any way. Maybe it would be better for older children, but I don’t think it explained the real presence very well.
I am grateful of this book to give out & have my friends’ kids instill in them the importance of our uniqueness; the gifts that we can offer to Our Lord & people around us; & most importantly, the Body & Blood of Christ when we receive Him.
Extremely helpful!!!
Just a really good book that shows the totality of Body, Blood, Soul, Divinity in both species of the Eucharist. There is no competition.... that concept can be taught about other things (like individual gifts) using this book. Really nice way to teach young people the True Presence in terms they can understand more easily. Keep up the great work, Ascension!!
