The layout is concise and very easy to follow and understand. Just what I needed on my learning journey.
Wonderful, helpful text for my husband who is now in OCIA. I highly recomend.
The way that this chart is put together is awesome. It gives is us the power to answer the question, where did that come from. Even if its not from the Bible it is the word of God.
A great resource that helps explain what we believe as Catholics. Not just to my own children but Protestant friends and family as well.
As a new convert to the faith, this view of the Catechism and layout of the councils and their decisions. Helps me know where to start looking when I have a deeper theological question.
This worksheet is mini one-liners that can help spark a conversation about Catholicism
It will really help with bible study, and faith journey in general, thanks, Joe.
Wonderful item! As a recent convert, I appreciate the information being displayed in an organized and easy to understand layout. Please note - I ordered one, and received two. I was not sure about the return process - so please respond with directions. Thank you!!
The timeline is beautiful. Great quality and well laid out. The only small caveatcis that it was copyrighted in 2022, so it does not include Pope Leo XVI.
Another well thought & designed theological & spiritual support guide from Ascension.
clear and easily read
Ascension Press sets the bar and is the gold standard for all things Catholic Education. We give this timeline to all our new Roman Catholic Knights and they love it. Thank you so very much for all you do to make us better Catholics.
As a new convert to the faith, it is so helpful to have this view of (1) the structure of the Catechism, and (2) the layout of the councils and their decisions. Helps me know where to start looking when I have a deeper theological question.
As I tried to write down so much in my notes I finally looked at the overview and much of what I was trying to write down and keep straight was right there! Very helpful!
An essential resource for those who need and want to be able to find a topic covered in the Catholic catechism. CCD teachers, councilors and theologians or those who want to get closer to the Catholic Church and their faith.
I love the layout and that it is a clear, color coded resource to help guide you through the Catechism. I especially like the timeline on the history of church councils. Very cool to have all this information in one quick guide!
I found the guide for Bible in a Year very helpful; so felt the Catechism in a Year would be equally helpful. I was correct!
Thank you!
I received what I expected. Thank you.
I was happy to receive The Catechism at a Glance chart. It's like having a map to follow to see where you are and where you are going. I am using the Second Edition green Catechism of the Catholic Church. The chart helps to divide it into sections and makes it more understandable. The chart is also a reference guide if I want to find something, better than the index.
I bought the Cathechism at a Glance chart to help me as I listen to the CIAY podcast. I think all the charts offered by Ascension press are useful. It is a great reference guide and I am really glad it was offered for sale separately from the Cathechism.
As one who is a visual learner, I really enjoy the Catechism at a Glance's concept and layout. It's a game-changer! This chart gives context at a glance and makes one curious to learn more.
I bought the Catechism through Ascension and this came with it. I wasn’t sure before it came how it might be helpful as I anticipated it was the same information that is in a table of contents. It’s not, the chart format helps my head “see” the information much better than the table of contents. What I’ve found especially helpful is the reverse side which has the source documents for the Catechism grouped by type and by dating of the documents. Paragraphs are also referenced. I'm not that familiar with the source documents so this helps me. I'm listening to the Catechism in a Year podcast and as Father Mike explains the references I like being able to look at this and help my mind to understand, and therefor remember information.
I have just started reading and listening to father Schmitt. So far I love it! However, I did not receive the glance chart that you say comes free with every purchase of the book. :(
