I ordered this pocket book of the Stations of the Cross to help me with completing the Stations during Lent. The book has been more than I expected and is going to be a wonderful help when I am unable to attend the Stations at Church.
Beautiful, handy and well-written. It is already enhancing my prayer experience after a lifetime of probably more rote praying than I'd like to admit. Well done.
Wow. Recommend! Don't hesitate! it's such a great book. This is a small, 150 page book. 3 parts. 1)Explanation of history /evolution of devotions. 2)Traditional and 3)biblical stations.
Though plainly written, very easy to read, this is a deeper journey on the stations of the cross.
The reflections and prayers are inspired and express the magnitude of God's love & sacrifice for our salvation on a very personal level.
Will read many, many times. Now amongst my top 3 favorite books.

This resource is great for us who choose to practice praying the Stations of the Cross anytime all year long. Jesus deserves our attention for He is constantly looking after us.
What a beautiful book this is! The size is just right, the illustrations are lovely, and the introduction is insightful. But, above all that; the Stations with meditations and prayers of both the Traditional and the Scriptural are so meaningful and personal. I got this for Lent, but this clearly is a devotion that needs to be used all year. Thank you Ascension and Dr. Sri, well done and God Bless You!

The words "he will give up his life as a gift of love to the Father" touched me today. I find myself picking up the pocket guide everyday for a meditation.
Anything by Dr. Edward Sri is so well done. He explains the Stations of the Cross with love and tenderness.
I will use this book through out the year as I walk with Jesus.
This book is one of the best Stations guides that I have ever read.
I needed something for lent. So I bought this. Whole new world for me. I love the scripture stations by Saint John Paul II. It’s new refreshing, and eye opening. I love doing the traditional ones too. It really helps to mediate. There are both in this book. Just Holy Spirit wow. And the reflections are on point too.
Thank you to Ascension for this meaningful book. I especially found the Scriptural Stations of the Cross meaningful. The refection and prayer were very thoughtful. I am thinking about this as a gift to my Bible Study group. It is definitely a tool in my tool box. Thank you.
I lead the parish on the 1st Friday of Lent using the "Pocket Guide to the Stations of the Cross." Afterwards a number of people approached me to take a picture of the Guide so that they could order it through Ascension Press. The reflections were riviting and offered a contemporary approach to this centuries old devotion. The reflections stay with you and I sense that the assembled participants will use them for their Lenten prayer life. I did get a few complaints of the length of the Stations
(it took us 50 minutes), but, hey, it's Lent and you were given an opportunity to say "yes" to God as you say "no" to yourself. The Pocket Guide really promotes a sense of 'kairos' time and is a gift to the Church family.

Edward Sri does not disappoint with his latest work Pocket Guide to the Stations of the Cross. This compact, yet easy to read book contains a wonderful background of the Stations, along with beautiful prayers. What I loved most is that this book contains both the Traditional and Scriptural Stations. There is highly detailed, black & white artwork for each station, with a purple ribbon marker. The cover is sturdy and will wear well. There are many versions of the Stations along with many small books, but this one is sublime in my opinion
