Author

Jeff Cavins is recognized both nationally and internationally as one of the most effective and engaging speakers in the Church today. Few can communicate their love for Jesus Christ with as much zeal, clarity, and enthusiasm as Jeff Cavins. In addition to his outstanding presentations related to Catholic Bible study, Jeff is available to speak on a variety of other faith-formation topics.

After twelve years as a Protestant pastor, Jeff returned to the Catholic Church under the guidance of Bishop Paul Dudley. His conversion story, one of the best known and most inspiring stories of its kind, is chronicled in the best-selling book, My Life on the Rock. After his conversion, Jeff received an MA in Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Over the past several decades, Jeff has dedicated his life to developing The Bible TimelineⓇ: The Story of Salvation, a practical, interactive program that helps people read the “big picture” of God’s plan of salvation in Sacred Scripture and understand its meaning for their lives.

For 2025, The Bible Timeline has been refreshed with new videos filmed on location in the Holy Land, Greece, Rome and several other locations, and new presenters such as Fr. Mike Schmitz, Mary Healy, and Dr. Marcellino D’Ambrosio. The Great Adventure Bible Timeline presents the entire sweep of the Bible in a way that is easy to understand and genuinely fun to engage. As the foundational element of The Great Adventure Learning System, the Bible Timeline has revolutionized Catholic Bible Study for hundreds of thousands of Catholics.

Love my Bible but just wondering it it might be available in Large Print

Great Bookmark

Thanks for designing such a concise way of miniaturizing the Bible Timeline. I just used it during a presentation in my parish and it was so perfect prior to showing the foldout Bible Timeline. I especially like that all the books of the Bible are listed! Several asked for directions for reaching Fr. Mike Schmidz's podcast for both the Bible and the Catechism. Thanks!

Like or not Like, Helpful or not

I like the bookmark. I love that it's so colorful and thus inviting. A quick read reflecting on the awesomeness of Bible in a Year. I use holy cards to mark things in my Bible, but the bookmark is longer and is referencing things I've recently touched with my whole heart.!!!

Love this bookmark

Very colorful and handy bookmark

Makes for a great gift

I purchased the Bible in a year Starter Pack to follow the ""Bible in a day" Podcast.
I really enjoy using these materials to help me follow Father Mike's daily reading. I liked this so much that I bought a pack for a friend of mine who is starting to read the Bible as well. The Blue bible comes in a box that makes the gift a perfect gesture for a friend!

Must Have Accessory for Better Understanding of Scripture

I have been a facilitator of Bible Studies for St. Pius X parish in Indianapolis since 2004. That's when we chose the Great Adventure - Bible Timeline program as our go-to method and since have offered nearly all of the video-based bible study programs in this series. We are currently in our third round of doing the introduction of the Bible Timeline to parishioners who are just starting their bible studies, but also find it to be a positive refresher for current students. We find the bookmarks are a must have accessory to keep in your bible. They are a miniature encyclopedia of biblical history and a potent reminder of the importance of each time period of salvation history. I keep a few on hand for students to give to friends and family.

Excellent aid to understanding Scripture

The Bible Timeline bookmark is an excellent way to keep track of when an event took place and where an event is in relation to other events. The bookmark is compact but full of information.
