My grandchildren are two (twins) and three. They raise chickens, ducks, and pigs and love making the animal sounds. The vibrant colors and text keep their attention. They know, baby Jesus, mommy Mary, and daddy God and Joseph. I strong recommend it.
No, the animal sounds are not electronic, however every reader gets to put their own creative moo, heehaw, baa and squeak into it. It’s time for the reader/ narrator to step up the old fashioned way and “ do it yourself” and let the creative process bloom.
Great job, ascension Press.
I agree with Paul L. I thought the animal noises would be audible, not just read aloud. But the pictures are very colorful.
The description makes it seem like you will actually hear the sounds of the animals as you go through this story, but the only sounds will be the ones the reader makes when you read it to your child. The description needs to be changed to indicate this to the customer.
This is our second kids book from Ascension and it is great! The recommended age is 3-5 but my 18 month old loves all the animals and sounds. I'd recommend this to kids of any age. I only wish there was a board book option.
