Known as the “Showplace of the Nation” and home to the world-famous Rockettes, Radio City Music Hall has hosted legendary entertainers including Frank Sinatra, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, and Adele. This time, its stage will welcome a Catholic priest for an evening centered not on music or comedy, but on the words of Jesus Christ.
The Radio City Music Hall event comes at a milestone moment for Fr. Mike’s ministry, as his “The Bible in a Year” podcast, produced by Ascension, recently surpassed 1 billion downloads, making it the most successful Catholic podcast in history.
Each event on the “Parables” tour includes a 45-minute keynote message from Fr. Mike followed by a 45-minute question-and-answer session. The “Parables” tour supports Fr. Mike’s efforts to build a new Newman Center and church for his bulldogCatholic campus ministry at the University of Minnesota Duluth, as assigned by his local bishop. The new space will also include a digital recording studio to support Fr. Mike’s ministry with Ascension, including “The Bible in a Year,” weekly Sunday Mass and homilies, and weekly YouTube videos.
