Fr. Mitch Pacwa, S.J., is a Jesuit priest, Scripture scholar, and one of the most recognizable teachers in Catholic media, best known for his long-running work as a host on EWTN. Ordained in 1976, he holds a Ph.D. in Old Testament from Vanderbilt University, is a gifted linguist fluent in a dozen languages, and is bi-ritual, celebrating the liturgy in both the Roman and Maronite rites.
He is the founder and president of Ignatius Productions, a Catholic media apostolate, a Senior Fellow of the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology, and the author of more than twenty books, including a popular series of Catholic Bible study guides. For Ascension, he wrote Go In Peace: Your Guide to the Purpose and Power of Confession, a warm and practical guide to the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
