Fr. José Antonio Fortea is a Spanish Catholic priest of the Diocese of Alcalá de Henares, near Madrid, and one of the Church’s most widely recognized authorities on demonology and exorcism. An approved exorcist, he has studied and assisted in numerous cases and has lectured on spiritual warfare around the world.
His theological training focused on the history of the Church, with a licentiate thesis on exorcism that grew into his later works on demonology, including Summa Daemoniaca. For Ascension, he wrote Interview with an Exorcist: An Insider’s Look at the Devil, Demonic Possession, and the Path to Deliverance — an accessible, question-and-answer introduction to the Church’s teaching on evil, possession, and deliverance.
